Other Diablo 3 tagged stuff from around the planet

While little has been said about how the game carries on from Diablo II, we do know it's been set 20 years after the end of Diablo II, and the vents of the previous games have become mythology to the people of Sanctuary with only a few heroes and characters from the original timeline remembering the events. Sanctuary was never invaded by the denizens of Hell at the end of Diablo II, the inhabitants of Sanctuary think the events of the past were over exagerated, and those that were present at the time have either gone mad or failed to convince the current inhabitants of Sanctuary they truly had a batttle on their hands.

D3 Preview Info

Blizzard is experimenting with the level randomisation. They have looked at what worked in the previous games and want to improve on it. Blizzard is trying things out in Diablo III such as moving level entrances and exits. Some areas will stay the same all the time. However, dungeon levels and mobs will be more random.

Diablo III Info

Blizzard Entertainment today confirmed it is working on Diablo III, a video game long rumored to be in production with little info from Blizzard. Announced for the first time during Blizzard's 2008 WorldWide Invitational (WWI), the company also provided a handful of game details to help draw interest to the game.Diablo III will be an RPG fully-realized in 3D, returning players to Sanctuary as the gates to the Burning Hells are once again opened.

The introduction to the game announced two character classes: the Barbarian and an all-new class never before seen in the Diablo universe -- the Witch Doctor.

Players will also be able to interact with the world directly -- knocking down walls onto enemies, destroying objects, and generally wreaking havoc not only on the demonic hordes, but also the game world itself.

This will all be possible online via Battle.net, Blizzard's multiplayer service which has been in use since Diablo, and has been host to millions of fans playing Diablo, Diablo II, Starcraft, Warcraft III, and soon, Starcraft II and Diablo III.

Diablo 3 Officially Announced!

June 26th 2008

Blizzard Entertainment offically announced the newest game to hit PCs this fall, Diablo III. Live from the World Wide Invitational in Paris, Blizzard kicked this one off with amazing style and real huge hype. Everyone was wondering for days what all the splash screen clues were (the evilpenguin still remains unsolved), which have all led to the Diablo announcement.

We're literally glued to our seats. Along with major fan sites such as DiabloFans.com and Diabloii.net we've begun a massive campaign to find out everything there is to know about number three in the much anticipated series.

So far what is obvious is that it will be a multiplayer experience, using Battle.net and associated accounts. We expect that this will be a huge boon for Diablo fans worldwide. Not only do the graphics look great but the whole layout appears to be designed with real gamers in mind.

More from the floor as we learn it.
